Assistive Listening System
The Assistive Listening System uses microphones throughout the stages, FM transmitters and hand-held receivers that enhance words spoken on stage by separating speech from the background noise. This system amplifies the actors and brings the sound directly into patron's ears. The receivers are coupled with headphones, ear buds or a neck loop (for patrons using a hearing aid with a "T" switch) and may be borrowed from the Patron Services Desk on Level 4.
ASL Interpretation
American Sign Language Interpretation, by certified interpreters, is scheduled for select performances at the Guthrie.

ASL Tours
Standard backstage tours interpreted in American Sign Language by a Guthrie interpreter can be arranged, depending upon ticket availability. Please make any special needs known at the time of booking. Two weeks prior notice is required to arrange an interpreter for tours.
Open Captioning
Select performances will be Open Captioned by c2 inc. Open Captioning is a general term used to describe text displayed simultaneous to live speech, dialogue or performance.

Restrooms
Fully accessible public restrooms are located on Level 4, 5 and 8. Three restrooms designated for use by people with disabilities are also located on Level 4. For restroom locations, please view the building maps.
Parking and Directions
Parking is available in the ramp on South 2nd Street directly across from the Guthrie and in numerous parking lots throughout the neighborhood. The event rate for Guthrie performances is $8. Rates vary during Twins and Vikings games and other area events.
